Contract Type: Full-Time Direct Hire (W2) Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:30 PM Central

Salary: $85,000/yr - $115,000/yr

Location: Baton Rouge, LA, Remote or Office

Our client is a CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited clinical reference laboratory headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As the largest independent laboratory in the region, we provide clinical and diagnostic testing services to physicians, hospitals, employers, and government agencies across the Gulf South. We are actively scaling operations through our new partnership with FMOL Health.

We are hiring a Sage Intacct Accountant to structure day-to-day accounting operations and turn high-volume lab activity into reliable reporting. This is hands-on work for someone who values clean books, clear processes, software/technology, and high-leverage automation.

What You Will Own:

Maintain the Sage Intacct general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and month-end adjustments.
Execute monthly close tasks, balance sheet reconciliations, bank and credit card reconciliations, and variance follow-up.
Run accounts payable, vendor records, payment support, and non-claims accounts receivable activity.
Maintain Sage Intacct dimensions, reporting structures, workflows, permissions, and audit-ready documentation.
Support recurring revenue uploads into Sage Intacct, including file preparation, client/payor setup, memo and dimension accuracy, and error resolution.
Prepare monthly financial reports, budget-to-actual analysis, cash forecast support, and ad hoc reporting for leadership.
Advise the CEO on accounting, reporting, cash visibility, and workflow decisions.
Improve recurring accounting workflows through automation and AI-enabled tooling so close, reporting, and controls become faster and clearer.

What You Bring:

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related experience.
3+ years of accounting experience with general ledger and month-end close responsibility.
Hands-on Sage Intacct experience, including dimensions, reporting, configuration, and data uploads.
Strong Excel skills and comfort working with exports, reconciliations, and structured data.
High attention to detail, good judgment, and the ability to manage recurring deadlines independently while using AI tooling responsibly to compress your workload.

Preferred:

CPA, CMA, or active progress toward licensure.
Experience in improving accounting processes or automating recurring finance work.
